Simone

I spent this summer working at Simone, a handbag company in South Korea. I was asked to brainstorm new ideas for bag designs, help other employees find leather in the leather basement, and take photos of current products. I learned a lot about the handbag and fashion industry in general. I also learned a lot about the culture and customs of Korea and the Korean work environment. It has made the fashion industry feel more accessible to me professionally. Thank you so much for providing me with the opportunity to participate in the Global Studies Internship Program. Even though the experience was challenging at times, I left feeling like it was all worth it. I hope that more students in the future can have a similar experience as me. The picture I’ve attached is of me and my best friend in front of Gyeongbokgung Palace in Seoul.
