"This summer I had an amazing time interning in Brussels, Belgium, pursuing extremely rewarding work in the form of a self-directed qualitative research study for Doctors Without Borders (MSF) at their headquarters. This has allowed me to fulfill a lifelong dream of getting to work with MSF in a central city of Europe, rich with a strong sense of cultural history and fantastic waffles!"

- Ariadne Nicol, Global Studies Internship Program participant, 2017

Your financial support of the Stanford Global Studies Division (SGS) provides core funding to strengthen existing programs, help create new ones where needed, enhance interaction among faculty and students, and facilitate collaboration with other university programs.

Funds are focused on activities that impact the broadest range of faculty and students, and on activities that offer high leverage by encouraging communication and collaboration.

Such activities include curriculum development; seminars, symposia and conferences; our visiting scholar programs; development of research networks linking internal and external faculty and students; research initiatives on key topics; and financial support for our students --  the next generation of outstanding scholars and policy-makers.
