Connor Rokos

My name is Connor Rokos, and I'm a co-terminal student getting my master's in communication with an undergraduate degree in political science. Thank you so much for the opportunity to be able to be able to work abroad for HackMotion in Riga, Latvia. It was truly a once-in-a-lifetime experience.

I had various tasks related to marketing including updating the company’s Google Analytics dashboard from UA to GA4, creating new data visualizations in Google Data Studio, researching potential resellers and promotional opportunities, and implementing SEO updates for top pages on the company website. I also had more general tasks relating to proofreading web and app pages to improve the quality of the English.

Not only was I able to gain valuable skills in my internship that I'm sure will benefit me in my career path, but I was also able to spend a summer in a beautiful area of the world that I probably would have never known much about otherwise. I was able to gain many new experiences during my time in Riga, from trying the delicious Latvian cuisine, to attending the largest music festival in the Baltics, to learning about Latvia's rich history through visiting the Old Town and the Occupation Museum. It was truly a summer I will never forget, and I hope to return to visit the region again in the near future. Thank you again for this wonderful experience.
