Kunal Kumar is a civil servant with over two decades of experience in the Indian Administrative Service. Anchoring the Smart Cities Mission and coordinating urban policy work for the Ministry of Housing and Urban Affairs (MoHUA), Kunal is at the forefront of driving positive change in India’s urban landscape. Leading a team implementing initiatives like the National Urban Digital Mission and outcome assessment frameworks such as Ease of Living, Municipal Performance, ClimateSmart Cities, and Data Maturity indices, he ensures impactful outcomes across various sectors. Additionally, as Vice President of the National Institute of Urban Affairs, Kunal plays a pivotal role in shaping urban policy and development under the aegis of MoHUA.

This program is part of a monthly online seminar series hosted by US-ATMC Director Dr. Richard Dasher and the Institute for Competitiveness’ Honorary Chairman Dr. Amit Kapoor.
