Dr. Bahman Solati has taught Persian Language and Literature at several universities. He discusses the concept of love and the definition of the beloved in medieval Persian poetry. His books include: Persian Words of Wisdom, The Rubayyiat of Hakim Umar Khayyam, and The Reception of Hafiz, and his newest book The Wine Goblet of Hafez.
