Vabamu Museum of Occupations and Freedom

This past spring, I had the opportunity to intern with Vabamu Museum of Occupations and Freedom in Tallinn, Estonia. Even though the internship took place virtually, I had an incredible experience throughout the quarter.

My Global Studies internship definitely affirmed my interest in historical research. More specifically, one of my major goals was to explore archival research. Not only was I encouraged to do so, but that research on the Welles Declaration was also directly incorporated into a new museum exhibit. It was incredible to see the project come to fruition and to know that my research will be used to educate others on a fascinating moment in Estonia-U.S. relations.

This experience has motivated me to seek out similar research opportunities on campus. It also made me feel more confident in my focus on international relations and excited to pursue more global opportunities in the future.
