Organization Profile: The Gaiety School of Acting (GSA) has been Ireland’s premier training facility for actors since 1986. With grads including Colin Farrell, Aidan Turner, Olivia Wilde, and one of the school’s patrons being Liam Neeson; GSA has 12 admin staff almost 50 tutors and over 5,000 students that pass through the doors annually, making it a fast paced, creative environment to work in.
Internship Department: Administration
Department Profile: With almost 5000 students per annum, the Gaiety School of Acting delivers a host of training opportunities for all ages. The internship will cover each department within the administrative department of GSA and will be project led based on the area of expertise the intern wishes to develop. There will be a large amount of coordination for the summer camps for our Young Gaiety students also.
Work description: The internship is primarily led by what the intern is most interested in, however it will focus on administrative support for the school in relation to our popular themed summer camps for young gaiety students (students aged 3 - 18 years of age). We have Musical Theatre Camps, Drama Camps, and Film Camps with almost 600 students annually. Each camp requires communication, organization and assistance with weekly productions and showcases. We also do a variety of prep work for our Full Time Actor training course, and an intern can get insight into a busy Marketing Department also.

Work Hours and Internship Start/End Dates: (Monday to Friday, June
22 –August 14, 2020): 10am-6pm five days a week.

Additional desired intern qualifications: An enthusiasm for getting stuck in, an ability to use initiative and make the most of the internship is welcome. An interest in theatre and the arts is very welcome. Likewise arts & education. Also useful if you have an interest in Marketing and or design.
- Applicants must be currently enrolled freshmen, sophomores, juniors, seniors, and coterms who are undergraduates in all majors, including undeclared. Coterm students must still have undergraduate status.
- Applicants must be current Stanford students during the internship period. Seniors must postpone graduation paperwork until the internship ends, but may participate in commencement. For summer graduation requirements, including details regarding enrollment requirements and information about participation in the June commencement ceremonies, students should contact their major department's student services office and Registrar's Office for graduation quarter petition.
- Preferably, before beginning their internships, selected candidates should have taken at least one course regarding the internship region. The course can be taken in the spring quarter.
