FRM creates digital products for people who love design, art and technology. The company was founded in 2012 by Yugo Nakamura and William Lai with offices in Tokyo and Taipei. We are a group of interdisciplinary designers, coders and doers. Our platform for digital art - FRAMED - is used by some of the best-known artists in the creative coding community.

Internship Department:      Design

Department Profile:  Design-oriented software developers, with a strong understanding of user experience and product. In charge of digital product planning, building, and maintenance of the FRAMED platform.

Work description:

  • Interaction Designer

You will primarily work with UI/UX of front-end web applications, both consumer-facing and internal tools. You'll need to be passionate about bleeding edge web technologies, with a solid understanding of building web products from concept to production release.


・Excellent Sketch, Ai, Ps design skills

・Excellent RWD logic

・Ability to work independently

  • Kinetic Designer

Designing all kinds of kinetic visual effects for user interfaces. The visual effects mean various animations and transitions. A drop-down menu animation and a button color transitions on hover are examples of such effects.


・Excellent Ai, Ps design skills

・Excellent After Effects or other animation skill

・Ability to work independently

  • Front-End Developer

You will primarily work with web applications, both consumer facing and internal tools. You'll need to be passionate about bleeding edge web technologies and have a solid understanding of underlying standards - JS / CSS / Websocket. Your experience with abstraction frameworks is less relevant, but certainly a bonus.


・Excellent knowledge JavaScript / CSS / Jquery

・Excellent web, interface, interaction design skills

・Ability to work independently



・Phalcon PHP

・3D graphics (WebGL / OpenGL / Unity / etc)

・Shader (GLSL)

Work Hours and Internship Start/End Dates: (Monday to Friday, June

22 –August 14, 2020):    Full time/Five days a week/National holidays off

・Passionate about bleeding edge art/design and the technologies which enable them

・Experience w/ large-scale installation arts that require 3D modeling

・Experience w/ computational design, creative coding, interactive digital art concepts
