Hannah Ricioli

My name is Hannah Ricioli, a current senior at Stanford University. I’m majoring in biology with specific interests in tissue regeneration. This summer, I was lucky enough to work abroad in Copenhagen, Denmark. I worked at Steno Diabetes Center Copenhagen, where I used novel stem cell therapies to continue the search for effective Type 1 Diabetes treatments. I worked alongside scientists to help further the understanding of autoimmune diabetes. 

The attached photo shows me at the bench working with pancreatic ductal cell culture. In this photo, I was changing the media that the cells are in. Once again, thank you so much for this incredible opportunity. I am eager to continue my future in science and this internship has allowed me to more deeply understand what my career may look like.
