Breanna Sandoval

My name is Breanna Sandoval, and I am part of the class of 2023 studying product design. This past summer, I worked with the Art Gallery of New South Wales in Sydney, Australia. My experience at the art gallery was truly life changing and one I will never forget. Thank you so much for allowing me to have this opportunity. As a first-generation college student, I never thought it would be possible to work abroad, and to have that dream become a reality is something I will forever be grateful for.

Working at the art gallery allowed me to explore my interests in design in an extremely unique professional setting. Being able to see some of our design work come to life even in the short time I was here was really incredible. One of the projects I worked on was creating a 3D model of steel supports for one of the art exhibits, which I got to see the initial construction of before the end of my internship. Being surrounded by the artwork of the gallery was also tremendously inspiring and something I will greatly miss.

Additionally, I really fell in love with the city of Sydney because of the amazing people, wildlife, and food it had to offer. Thank you again for allowing me to have this life changing experience!
