Adelaide Madary

My name is Adelaide Madary, and I am a sophomore majoring in international relations and French literature.
This past summer, I spent six weeks in Paris as an intern at the Institut National d’Histoire de l’Art (INHA), which is an art history research institute. I had a wonderful experience learning about art history, specifically Asian art from the 18th - 20th century.

It has always been a dream of mine to visit Paris and practice the French that I’ve learned in the classroom in an immersive environment. Paris was a wonderful location to explore art because I was able to supplement my learning at the internship with the rich variety of museums in the city.

Thank you for making this professional experience and learning opportunity possible for me. I have grown tremendously over the summer, and I look back fondly on my encounter with a new culture.
