This event will bring together faculty researchers from the Graduate School of Education, Ari Y. Kelman, Eujin Park, and Anthony Antonio in a conversation about the past and future of admissions at Stanford. Drawing connections between Jewish and Asian American experiences, the group will reflect on coalitional responses to the recent report on antisemitism in Stanford admissions. How do Asian American and Jewish communities experience model minority discourses and processes of racialization in similar and distinct ways? How can Stanford's and other universities' histories of antisemitic admissions policies inform current debates about college admissions?
