Inquiry Question: How can we as community college educators understand the causes and possible outcomes of Russian aggression in Ukraine?

How do we process Russian aspirations in Ukraine in 2024 and beyond? In conversation with GEN Executive Board Member Dr. Tomasz Stanek, Dr. Amir Weiner, associate professor of history at Stanford, will discuss his views on possible political and military outcomes of the Russia-Ukraine war and implications for the modern global order. Drs. Weiner and Stanek will also discuss ways educators on community college campuses can better understand modern conflicts, their causes, and broader implications.

This event is part of a series of Educators Inquiry Meetups organized by the Global Educators Network that will explore how community college educators can create identity-safe classrooms and encourage meaningful dialogue amidst ongoing international conflicts.
