Delivering Innovative Research

A student from the "Mapping Poverty, Colonialism, and Nation Building in Latin America" course presents her capstone project at the David Rumsey Map Center in 2017.

By facilitating research and data collection across fields as well as national and regional boundaries, SGS enables the next generation of scholars to creatively address regional and global issues and advance our understanding of the world.

Promoting Community Engagement

The multitude of opportunities SGS creates to engage with global issues through conferences, lectures, performances, and other events contributes to a vibrant and diverse campus community.

SGS is committed to sharing its expertise beyond the university, and partners with programs across campus to provide resources and professional development opportunities for K-14 educators in order to strengthen foreign language training and education about the world.
