Kimberly supports the Center for African Studies and the Sohaib and Sara Abbasi Program in Islamic Studies. She was born in San Francisco and raised in the Bay Area. She holds a BA in Communication Studies from San Francisco State University and an MA in Mass Communications from the University of Florida. Her MA thesis examined the intercultural sensitivity of U.S.-based international nongovernmental organization (INGO) leaders. Kimberly loves trying new activities and cuisines and believes that her study of and enthusiasm for international and intercultural communications makes her an asset to the SGS team.
